Summary
Zeta Learning is an ecosystem of solutions which targets core components of the learning experience: motivation, personalisation and efficiency. These key elements are what constitute the recently-launched app, Thunder Reward; motivating through gamification, personalised through our proprietary cognitive test, and efficient in leveraging cognitive sciences.
Its current product market-fit lies with students from 13 to 20 years old. The iOS app helps students keep their motivation high by making studying a gratifying experience.
Role
As the product manager at Zeta Learning, I led the product roll-out from market research in January 2021 to the app launch in April 2021. I was responsible for the product strategy and roadmap. I successfully shipped an iOS app and 5 key updates.
Key challenge
Working within the startup’s constraints while maintaining a clear roadmap to meet the set objectives.
Much of the product lifecycle was placed under external and internal constraints : the pandemic, the startup’s needs, resources and objectives. These greatly impacted the product lifecycle with a release required by April. To avoid delaying the launch, the minimum viable product had to be redefined at various times.
Recruitment of interviewees proved to be particularly difficult due to the pandemic and the repeated lockdowns. To tackle this, I set up an instagram based process through which we successfully enlisted students.
